Party Politics: The Dungeonkrawl Elections Kickstarter video (First Draft)
Scene: Interior News Studio. Two reports are sitting at a desk, delivering a new report.
ANNA: …but fortunately the Leprechaun is unharmed and all charges have been dropped. Rob?
ROB: Thanks ANNA. Bonus!Games announces the launch of its first Kickstarter campaign. The fledgling game company is hoping to raise funds for its new card game “Party Politics: The Dungeonkrawl Elections”. This cut throat game offers a mixture of fantasy and politics and promises fun for both casual and hard-core gamers alike. In the game, players take on the role of a hero in a fantasy world, but rather than attempting to kill monsters and loot treasure, they are running for political office.
ANNA: In a related story, we are getting word from The Debate that the Cleric is in a bit of hot water. It seems that a story about his support of voting rights for the undead has begun to gain some attention.
ROB: That’s really going to hurt his chances of winning the votes of his fellow Clerics.
ANNA: Agreed. What’s worse, the Warrior and the Mage have started the usual Mudslinging, further hampering his chances.
ROB: I’ve heard the Paladin is keeping his campaigning positive. Earlier in The Debate he announced his opposition to cosmetic testing on fairies and has further promised to personally rescue all of them from captivity. Cosmetics manufacturer Faebelline could not be reached for comment.
ANNA: Reports indicate that the Warrior is taking steps to solidify his position. His effort to “Get out the Vote” has not only increased his number of friendly registered voters, he has also gained a nice bump in political power, which should help…
ROB (cutting ANNA off): ANNA, I’m sorry to cut in, but we have breaking news from the Debate. It seems the Rogue has found a way to take the credit for the Paladins stunt regarding fairies! All the popularity that story was generating for the Paladin now belongs to the Rogue! What a swing!
ANNA: We are also receiving reports that the Cleric has taken the opportunity to bury the story of his scandalous position on undead voting. I’m sure he’s glad voters will no longer be thinking about that skeleton in his closet.
ROB: Right you are ANNA. After the break, we’ll be back coverage of the Election. Stay tuned!
